Some of my favorite ideas have started with someone saying, "Okay, but what if it smelled a little different?"
That is basically the spirit of Bare Batchers.
Bare Batchers is the group of people I invite into the product-development process before something officially joins the Bare family. They get to try early versions, tell me what they actually think, and help shape the details before a product goes live.
The scent. The texture. The name. What they love. What they would change. Whether something feels like a yes, a no, or a "you are very close, but this needs one more thing."
It is not a focus group in a fluorescent room with a clipboard.
It is real people using a product in real life and being honest about it. Which is much more helpful.
I first did this with The Undone, and it was such a good experience. People got to be part of the process instead of only seeing the finished product once it was already on a shelf. I got feedback I would not have gotten on my own. And honestly, it made the final product better.
That is the whole point.
I can have a clear idea of what I want to make, but I also know that products live in other people's bathrooms, bags, drawers, and routines. Someone might notice that a scent feels too strong. Someone else may say the texture is perfect but the name is not quite there. Somebody will always have an opinion I did not think to ask for, and usually, that is where the good stuff is.
Bare Batchers gives that feedback a place to go.
Signing up is open year-round. When you join, you are added to the Bare Batchers pool for future product testing opportunities.
That part is important: signing up does not guarantee a tester spot for every product. Each round will have a limited number of spots, because I want the feedback to be thoughtful and manageable, not a giant group chat where nobody knows what is happening.
When a new testing round opens, I may send a short questionnaire to the Bare Batchers list to find the right fit for that product. Sometimes I may also put out a call on social media when I am looking for the next group.
It might be a product for someone with a very specific routine. It might be a scent test. It might be something entirely new that needs fresh eyes and honest opinions before it is ready for the world.
The goal is not for everyone to tell me they love it.
The goal is for people to tell me the truth.
I want the "I love this" feedback, obviously. I am still a person. But I also want the "this feels too heavy," "this scent is not for me," or "I would absolutely buy this if you changed this one thing" feedback.
If you like trying things before they are released, have opinions about texture and scent, or just enjoy being part of how an idea becomes a real product, Bare Batchers is for you.
You do not need to be an expert. You do not need to have a perfectly curated bathroom shelf. You just need to be willing to use the product, pay attention, and tell me what you think.
I have a lot of ideas coming, and I would love to have you in the room while we make them.
Sign up to join the Bare Batchers list, and when the next testing round opens, you may be one of the people helping shape what comes next.
