Return & Refund Policy

At Bare Tallow Co., we take great care in creating and delivering our handcrafted products. Your satisfaction is very important to us, and we want you to feel confident in your purchase. This Return & Refund Policy outlines the circumstances under which returns and refunds may be accepted, and the steps you should take if you encounter an issue with your order.

By placing an order through baretallow.co (the “Site”), you agree to the terms set forth below.

Eligibility for Returns

Due to the handcrafted nature of our products, we only accept returns of unopened, unused, or defective items within 30 days of delivery.

To qualify for a return:

  • The item must be unused, unopened, and in the same condition that you received it.
  • The item must be in its original packaging.
  • Proof of purchase (such as your order confirmation or receipt) must be provided.

Custom orders, gift cards, and sale items are non-refundable and are not eligible for return.

Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items

If your order arrives damaged, incorrect, or defective, please notify us within 7 days of delivery by emailing hello@baretallow.co.

To process your claim, we will require:

  • Your order number.
  • Clear photos of the product(s) and packaging.

Once your request is reviewed, we will gladly replace the item(s) or provide a store credit/refund, depending on the situation.

Refunds

Approved refunds will be issued to the original method of payment within 7–10 business days after we receive and inspect your returned item. Please note:

  • Original shipping charges are non-refundable.
  • If your order qualified for free shipping, the actual shipping cost may be deducted from your refund.
  • Depending on your bank or credit card company, processing times for refunds may vary.

Exchanges

We do not currently offer direct exchanges. If you would like to exchange an item, you may return your eligible product for a refund (subject to this policy) and place a new order for the desired item.

Items Not Eligible for Return or Refund

We cannot accept returns or issue refunds in the following situations:

  • Products that have been opened, used, or tampered with.
  • Returns requested after the 30-day return window.
  • Skin reactions or sensitivities. Everyone’s skin is unique, and we encourage you to carefully review product ingredients before purchase.
  • Items purchased as part of a custom order, final sale, or gift card purchase.

Shipping Returns

If your return is approved, you will be responsible for the shipping costs associated with sending the item back to us, unless the return is due to a defective or incorrect product.

We recommend using a trackable shipping service and purchasing shipping insurance. We cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned item, and we are not responsible for items lost or damaged during return shipping.

Order Cancellations

Orders may be canceled within 24 hours of purchase if they have not yet been processed or shipped. To request a cancellation, please contact us immediately at hello@baretallow.co. Once an order has been processed, it can no longer be canceled and will fall under this Return & Refund Policy.
